Ms. Notukela Makohliso
Notukela is currently the Managing Director, and founding member of True Media based in Cape Town, South Africa. She was the Marketing Manager, Brand Custodian and Acting Project Manager (GCM – Graduate Centre of Management) for The Faculty of Business at Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT). She is a Lecturer and Certified Assessor and Moderator. She has lectured and trained on Marketing and Events’ Management at CPUT; Ethics, Business Communication and Communication for The City of Cape Town.
Honing her skills in Education, she obtained a Post-Graduate Certificate in Executive Development at The University of Stellenbosch Business School (USB) as well as a Post-Graduate Diploma in Digital Marketing from Shaw Academy, United Kingdom.
She has served on the board of the Black Business Chamber, Western Cape as the Executive Director responsible for forum development; was the founder and Managing Director of Moshate Media and has served as the Operations Manager for Khula Holdings (an ICT based Organisation). Notukela was previously the Business Development Manager of Lodestar Investments. She also worked as Artist Manager for Soul Star Entertainment.
Notukela obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Stellenbosch; where she was also the second African woman to be elected in the Student Representative Council at the University. She spearheaded the Current Social Issues portfolio, the Institutional Forum, the Vice-Rector Teaching Advisory Committee as well as the Afrikaans-English Task-team. In 2005 she was selected to go to the USA Student Leadership Tour on Transformation and Diversity. She also served as the Mayor of the Junior Council of KSD 2002-2003.
As a young entrepreneur, Notukela is determined to grow her business ventures into formidable establishments that will make moves beyond the African continent, as well as providing employment and creating a better life for many throughout Africa. The most important aspect that drives her is the ideology of living a life of legacy, through perseverance and endurance to achieve the unthinkable.
