Thabo Dithane

Mr. Thabo Dithane received a BS Degree in Chemical Engineering (1996) and a MS Degree in Agricultural Economics (2002) both from NC Agricultural & Technical State University (USA). He received a Certificate in Project Management from University of Pretoria (South Africa) in 1998 and in 2016 he studied (LLB) at the University of South Africa.

He has lectured at the Sasolburg Campus of Flavius Mareka TVET College in Free State Province, South Africa with instruction in Chemical Engineering Courses N1-N6, English Communication, Mathematics, Wastewater Treatment, and Chemical Plant. In addition, he has work experience as a Sector Specialist in Trade & Investment, Investment Promotion, and Export Promotion in Government and Private sector as well as a Project Manager in Water &Sanitation Program and Projects involving Government, Private Sector, and Research Institutions.

Mr. Dithane has also worked for the Chemical Industry Education and Training Authority (CHIETA); served as the Deputy Director of Strategic Partnerships Department for Science &Technology; as Senior Project Engineer for SASOL; and as a Senior Economist: Policy Analysis & Research for the National Electricity Regulator. For six years, Mr. Dithane served as the General Manager of Blackgold Consulting as Mentor and Coach for SMME Business Soft Skills, Business plan development and Marketing. In addition, he developed Corporate Social Investment funding proposals writing for Community Capacity Building Initiatives and also managed residential housing construction.

Mr. Dithane is the Founder of EduLead Africa, a non-governmental education and leadership organization of South Africa, and served as the Founder and Chief Building Engineer of the newly constructed Dr. Judy Rashid Education and Leadership Center , located in Vanderbijlpark , South Africa, where he presently serves as the Chief Executive Officer.

In February of 2022, Mr. Dithane received the CHANGE MAKER OF THE YEAR AWARD held at WITS University as selected by Global Diaspora Connect and recognized by The US Consulate’s Office in Johannesburg. (picture shown on this page)
